L'auteur, qui était Parisien de naissance et astrologue de profession, avait prédit qu'une étoile serait vue en plein midi le 31 août, les 1er, 2 et 3 septembre 1649. Cette étoile parut en effet ; et l'auteur en dit qu'elle « est un flambeau allumé par le ciel pour éclairer le triomphe de Louis XIV, un nouvel œil que le ciel a pris pour le considérer comme son rare chef-d'œuvre. »</p>]]></note></interpretation>
