Il est à remarquer que l'auteur rejette sur les princes la plus grande part de responsabilité de "l'enlèvement" du roi. C’est bien dans l'esprit du cardinal. Une remarque plus générale, c'est que les pièces dirigées contre les pamphlétaires ont paru presque toutes sans nom d'imprimeur, quelques-unes sans nom de ville. Malgré la paix, on craignait les tumultes populaires. Les Frondeurs étaient encore maîtres de Paris.</p>]]></note></interpretation>
